COMPARISON OF THE TEXTS

Comparison of the Texts
about Indians
You might get surprised if I say I first got acquainted with the Indians in “Tin-tin ‘s adventures”. I was ten years old at that time but to my great astonishment the impression I got at that time was something similar to what I got after reading these passages.
If we compare these texts we can see some contrasts mentioned in the Indians characteristics. For example in the first reading we notice the emphasis on their self abandonment whereas in the second reading we notice how they seated themselves among the white people. Or the first reading refers to Indians’ fixed and rigid quality which has caused them not to learn the arts of civiliza-
tion, while the second reading simply talks about their acceptance of rudiments of civilization.
Actually it is a fact that everything, especially human being can have different contradictions .And I think it is quite natural for a person and among them Indians to be both cruel and kind. That actually depends on the provided circumstances. Two different people may not have the same opinion about one person.Because the behavior a 1st person shows toward a 2nd person is highly depended on the 2nd person’s point of view too.

A Portrait of Myself

I’m not sure if I know myself well enough, but if I am supposed to explain myself I can say I am so emotional and in fact when it’s time to express emotions, no matter what type of emotion, it appears in its extreme. This becomes quiet bothering especially in some cases in which there is not that much need to get involved.

Perhaps the strongest feature of my character is honesty. Except for white lies which I usually give myself away in the first few minutes, I cannot lie. I prefer to face problems or even ask apology rather than escape reality.

I am at times short tempered. Though I can be patient enough but certain behaviors get on my nerves and I cannot tolerate. Lack of the feeling of responsibility, some disrespectful manners, and those people who don’t really mean what they say can easily drive me mad.

Thanks to my parents I am tall enough, with an acceptable posture, I look serious but I easily establish a good rapport.

Because of working in a kindergarten now for twenty years I am so much interested in children psychology and preschool educational systems and I have my own opinions in this regard. As a language teacher I like to read articles on teaching English as a foreign language. I am quiet determined to get my BA to be able to serve my students more efficiently.
